Japan's Abe re-elected as party head, to stay on as PM
Shinzo Abe has been re-elected as head of Japan's ruling Liberal 자유당의, 자유주의의 Democratic 민주적인 Party (자민당) in a landslide vote.
For more on this and other news around the world let's turn to our Ro Aram…
Aram… what does this mean?
Well Mark… it paves (준비하다, (널돌, 벽돌로) 포장하다) the way for Abe to serve up to three more years as Japan's prime minister.
That means he would be longest-serving premier in the country's modern history.
The victory also emboldens (대담하게 하다, 용기를 북돋아주다) Abe to pursue his long-sought revision to Japan's pacifist (평화[반전]주의자) constitution.

"While I aim to finally settle Japan's post war diplomacy, I hope Japan becomes a peaceful and stable nation. And, further beyond that, I wish to work together with you all in order to finally revise Japan's constitutions."
Abe has been pushing to amend Article 9 to explicitly (명쾌하게) recognize the existence of Japan's Self-Defense Force - a proposal that has faced strong opposition (반대, 저항) from Abe's political rivals (라이벌, 경쟁자, 경쟁상대) and most of the public.
If a revision is voted down in a national referendum (국민투표, 총선거), the Prime Minister would likely have to step down.
Meanwhile on North Korea, he said it is now his turn to meet leader Kim Jung-un.
(Japanese) Reuters Edit No 4020
"Additionally with the cooperation of the international community, I think that next is my turn to face Leader Kim Jong Un to solve the issues related to North Korea, such as nuclear, missiles, and most importantly, abductions (유괴)."
